What you Don’t know CAN hurt you on the Internet

Safe Online Business Practices

Presented by:  Andrew Grover, Androscoggin Bank

You’ve all heard the expression “Ignorance is Bliss”, well when it comes to internet security, that couldn’t be farther from the truth.  This month Andrew Grover, VP of Risk Management with Androscoggin Bank will speak with us about how to avoid the pitfalls and risks associated with phishing, email scams, and online banking security.  As our world becomes more and more digital and A.C.E. itself is rolling out an increased online presence, this is sure to be a very educational presentation that may even scare you a little.  If it scares you enough to make yourself more aware and improve your online security, then it will be well worth your while to attend.

Andrew J. Grover, CPA, CFE, CISA oversees risk and compliance for Androscoggin Bank. He is Vice President of Risk Management and currently holds the position of Risk Officer, Bank Secrecy Act Officer and is the Chairman of the Bank’s Information Security Committee. Andrew specializes in risk analysis, fraud investigations, and suspicious activity reporting.

Andrew’s professional background includes forensic auditing, financial accounting, and business and IT consulting. Prior to joining Androscoggin Bank, Grover was Auditing Manager for accounting and business consulting firm, Macdonald, Page & Co., LLC.

He is an active member of the American Institution of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and the Information Systems Auditing Control Association (ISACA). Andrew is also a member on the Leadership Board of the American Lung Association of New England. Andrew simultaneously earned his M.B.A. and B.S. in accounting from Thomas College in 1996 and is currently an adjunct professor at Thomas College; teaching various graduate and undergraduate courses in accounting and management control systems.
