Description
Deborah McKew, Director of Communications and Publications at the Biodiversity Research Institute, will discuss her experience developing the Institute's communications program and establishing its director and staff as thought leaders in wildlife research and science communications. Participants will learn which qualities a thought leader must demonstrate; how to put those qualities to work in the process of shaping the direction of their industry; how to identify the outlets they need to reach different audiences. The presentation wraps up with a case study to illustrate all of the above.
