About our speaker:

Dr. Paul D. Froman is a seasoned Fire and EMS professional and consultant with over two decades of experience in emergency services. As the owner of Froman Consulting Services, LLC, he provides strategic guidance and leadership training to Fire and EMS agencies, helping them improve operational efficiency and develop effective leadership practices.

Professional Experience
Paul's career expands various facets of fire and EMS services. Paul started his involvement in the fire service as a teenager. He first volunteered and worked his way while gaining credentials to become a full-time firefighter/paramedic for over twelve years. Additionally, Paul has held various leadership roles in the fire service. These experiences have informed his practical approach to consulting, ensuring that his recommendations are not just theoretical but grounded in the real-world challenges emergency services face.

Education and Certifications
Paul holds a Doctorate in Leadership from the University of Southern Maine, with concentrations in Leadership Education and Organizational Development. His dissertation explored the critical leadership skills paramedics utilize during emergency medical incidents. During Paul's education, he completed research on career retention within Maine with public safety professionals. Paul also has associate degrees in Fire Science and Paramedicine. Finally, he maintains his nationally registry EMS certification as a paramedic and is pro-board-certified firefighter, fire instructor, and fire officer.
